While working on a job 18 years ago, a woman had a desire to help a mothers and her son. A co-worker told her that they lived in a motel and didn’t have any food. She was given permission to give them her meal ticket. Her desire to fight hunger throughout Houston increased, and Victory Wellness and Nutrion Initiative LLC (a non-profit organization) was born. After 18 years, the demand is greater than ever and the program has expanded to include nutrition education.
To fight hunger by: providing nutritious food, teach how to eat healthy, make the best food choices and the benefits of urban gardening.
